    ***The January process is now open, please read the test announcement below***


    1/1/2009:

    Starting January, 2009, the physical fitness assessment will become a pass/fail portion of the process. This assessment is based upon Cooper's Institute Standards which are accessible though a link on the right-hand side our home page. The passing percentile for TPD is 40 depending on your age and gender. This overall percentage is determined by averaging percentile scores for the 1.5 mile run, 300 meter run, sit-ups, push ups and vertical jump.


    1/12/2009:

    TPD will be hosting a recruiting workshop from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Southern Arizona Law Enforcement Academy located at 10001 S. Wilmot. The workshop is geared for candidates who are interested in starting the hiring process for the position of Police Officer Recruit.     1/31/2009:

    The January process for the position of Police Officer Recruit is now open. Please click on the link on our homepage to apply. The process closes January 11, 2009. Once you have registered and applied, fill out a pre-screen questionnaire using the link on the job announcement. Upon successfully passing the pre-screen you will be sent an e-mail invitation for the test on the 31st.


    2/4/2009:

    TPD Recruiters will be attending a job fair in Fort Hood, Texas on February 4th, 2009, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The fair will be held on base at the Fort Hood Catering and Conference Center.


    4/18/2009:

    TPD will be testing for the position of Police Officer Recruit on April 18th, 2009. The application process will open March 1st and will close March 29th.
